Executive Bios 

Paul Ciminelli, President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO, Mr. Ciminelli has been instrumental in positioning and obtaining many of the company's key projects over the last two decades., including:

  • the purchase of the Former Federal Reserve Building in downtown Buffalo, and its ensuing redevelopment for New Era Cap Company;
  • contracting with First Niagara Bank to provide facilities management services for its 1,000,000 sq. ft. across New York State;
  • contracting with a New York-based ownership group to provide management and leasing services for both Key Center and the Bank of America building in Downtown Buffalo;
  • the formation of Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation, Ciminelli Real Estate Services of Florida, and Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation of Canada;
  • the formation of Allpro Parking, LLC, Western New York's premier parking operator. 

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Certificate of Finance form the University's School of Management.  He is also a member of the inaugural class of Harvard University's Executive Program, "Running A Private Real Estate Company."  As a strong proponent of the Buffalo Niagara region, Mr. Ciminelli is also actively involved in many civic, professional and non-profit organizations.  (email) 

 

Dennis M. Penman, Executive Vice President/ Principal

With over 40 years in the real estate industry in Western New York, Mr. Penman brings wide-ranging experience to our team. In his role at Ciminelli, his focus is on seeking and procuring real estate development and investment opportunities in the Western New York market. (email)

 

 

 

James Gottstine, Senior Vice President of Property Management

Mr. Gottstine oversees the asset and property management of 9 million square feet of space in Western and Central New York, Eastern and Western Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, and manages a debt portfolio of over $200 million.  In his role as asset manager, he is responsible for the financing of the entire Ciminelli portfolio, and supervises the company's relationships with a variety of municipal agencies and local and international financial institutions.  Mr. Gottstine holds a CCIM accreditation (Certified Commercial Investment Member), a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Canisius College with a concentration in Finance. Patrick Kilcullen, Vice President of Finance and Administration

Mr. Kilcullen oversees all aspects of corporate and property accounting operations, financial budgeting and control, risk management, internal tax planning, preparation and research, information technology, and human resources. He also manages and audit and tax services for the Company. Prior to joining Ciminelli, Mr. Kilcullen served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Albright-Knox Art Gallery where he was responsible for the oversight of accounting, finance, security, information technology, human resources, and facilities operations. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Niagara University in Lewiston, NY. He is a Board Member and former Board President of the Newfane Central School District, and is a past member of the Niagara University Accounting Advisory Board. (email)

   

Robert G. McDonnell, Senior Vice President of Leasing

Mr. McDonnell oversees all leasing initiatives for Ciminelli Properties, LLC, Key Success, LLC, and various other clients.  Additionally, he provides a variety of real estate services for First Niagara Bank including tenant representation, disposition and acquisition.  Mr. McDonnell is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in New York State, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Pennsylvania, and holds a CCIM accreditation (Certified Commercial Investment Member), in addition to a B.A. in English and Communications, with a minor in Marketing from John Carroll University. Timothy Vaeth, Vice President of Development

A LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. Vaeth, oversees all "ground up" development efforts for the company, all Green/Sustainable design projects, and all Green initiatives (internal and external).  This scope of work includes management of the development process including concept and design, entitlements, variances, plan approval and permits, site development and building construction.   Mr. Vaeth has been involved with major Ciminelli projects for Kaleida Health, Hilton Hotels, Starbucks, Cornell University, M&T Bank, the US Department of Homeland Security, and the GSA.  He holds certificates in Advanced Scheduling and Planning, and Advanced Zoning and Land Use, and is a member of the US Green Building Council.  Mr Vaeth has a B.A. in International Relations from Canisius College and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University. (email)

 

Anne Duggan, Director of Marketing & Public Relations

Ms. Duggan oversees all aspects of marketing and communications for the company.  She supervises the planning and development of all corporate marketing initiatives, and manages the content and flow of all outbound communications, including media relations, corporate and project web sites, online and print advertising, and all marketing materials.  She is also responsible for creating and maintaining corporate and property marketing plans and budgets, and coordinates all aspects of new project proposals.  She is a member of the American Marketing Association, and serves as an officer on the Board of Directors for the FBI Citizens' Academy Alumni Association.  Ms. Duggan holds a B.A. in Communications from Canisius College. Thomas McGeachy, Managing Principal - Ciminelli Real Estate Services

Mr. McGeachy oversees all aspects of leasing, sales and business development for the Florida office.  He has over 2 decades of commercial real estate experience in asset management, property management, leasing, sales, strategic planning, financial analysis and acquisition due diligence.  His designations and licenses include Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), and Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida.  Mr. McGeachy is Past President of the West Coast District of the Florida CCIM Chapter.  He holds a B.A. in General Business from the Stetson University and an M.B.A. from Babson College. J. Hunter Swearingen, Principal - Ciminelli Real Estate Services

With over 19 years of experience in asset management, receivership, leasing, acquisition and disposition services, Mr. Swearingen oversees all Florida property management operations.  He holds the designations of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA).   Mr. Swearingen is actively involved in the Greater Bay area community through a number of professional and charitable organizations including the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA),  Hillsborough Education Foundation, National Association of Office and Industrial Property (NAIOP), University of Florida College of Real Estate Advisory Board and University of Tampa Board of Fellows.  He is the past President of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), West Coast Florida Chapter and Treasurer for the local CCIM Chapter.  Mr. Swearingen graduated from the University of Tampa with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Marketing. Mr. Swearingen is a lifelong Florida resident and U.S. Navy veteran. (email)
